The ScienceWorks Hand-On Museum in Ashland is searching for an archaeologist who could do a "hands-on" type of presentation or activity that involves archaeology for families with children, usually ages 5-12 years old.

The ScienceWorks Museum will be having an "Archaeology Weekend" on September 20 (10am-4pm) and September 21 (12 noon- 5pm). Although the weekend is earlier than the upcoming Oregon Archaeology Month in October, the Museum has been able to list this weekend in the OAC calendar of events, so your help is desperately needed!

This is a great opportunity for grad students in Archaeology (hint, hint SOU!) to help the museum and get some great public relations experience and help promote archaeology in Southern Oregon (remember the children are future landowners, developers, and potential advocates)!!
