The Bureau of Reclamation is advertising for two archeologists, one to be duty stationed in Bend, Oregon, and the other in Yakima, WA. The Bend job is for an archeologist for the Lower Columbia Area Office, which covers all but the NE corner of Oregon, plus WA State west of the Cascades divide.
The second is for the Upper Columbia Area Office, which covers the remainder of WA State, northern Idaho, and Montana west of the divide.

The LCAO job is a new position, and the UCAO job is filling behind an archeologist who recently retired (Mark DeLeon's old job). The person is responsible for NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, Preserve American, and EO 13007 requirements for their offices. The jobs are open to both Federal and
non-Federal status professional archeologists.

FYI, this is the second time the LCAO position is being advertised. It is re-advertised due to a change in the duty station from Portland to Bend.
