[OR_Archaeology] Uses of the listserve

I think Susan has been doing an admirable job with the listserve.  Of  course 
I am not interested in many of the posts, but I have seen nothing  
objectionable and I don't expect everything to be of direct interest to  me.  With 
regard to the post about the Travel Oregon marketing opportunity,  I think is was 
quite appropriate and potentially useful.  We would have  taken advantage of it 
to promote TAC Festival 2009, but it was too  expensive!  After reading John 
Allison's message, I'm not sure even he  really had a strong objection but was 
just making a comment about the times we  are in.  And I'm 100 percent in 
accord with Cathy Poetschat's comment that  promoting archaeology to the public 
is a very important task that the listserve  can help us with.
