February 3rd lecture sponsored by OAS.

David Moen will be the featured speaker at the February 3rd Oregon
Archaeological Society meeting. His topic is the* Columbia Condors:
Forgotten Giants of the Sky (cultural, historical, and ecological
context of condors in the Pacific Northwest).*

Through his field surveys and research, Moen is endeavoring to fill the
gap in our understanding of the condor*s presence and
historical/cultural role in Oregon and Washington. He has actively
searched for evidence of possible former condor nest sites.
