PUBLIC TV FEATURING TWO OREGON HERITAGE PROGRAMS

The state's public television stations will show two new Oregon Experience programs during the next couple of weeks.

Debuting Feb. 9, "The Logger's Daughter" will highlight Gwen Trice as she searches for her family's roots in Maxville, a former logging camp in Wallowa County. A week later on Feb. 16, "Road to Statehood" will show how Oregon became a state in 1859. Both will also be temporarily available online.

OPB will host two screenings of "The Logger's Daughter" on Feb. 5 at the Wallowa Senior Center. The first screening at 3 p.m. is primarily for seniors and the second at 6:30 p.m. for the general public. Both screenings are free and open to the public.
