Archaeology Presentation
Tom Butler
Excavations in Ghana: The Kormantse Archaeology Research Project
When and Where: Thursday, April 2, 4 o'clock, Cramer 41

Tom will be talking about some of the preliminary results from the Kormantse Archaeological Project that he took part in last January and February with Dr. Agorsah. This project aims to investigate the relationship between the historic village of Kormantse, West Africa and the powerful image the name still represents today for the African Diaspora. Specifically, Tom will be discussing the results of a mapping survey of the village, some of the artifacts found during the
excavations and also where the project hopes to go in the future.
