[OR_Archaeology] ACOE Seattle position opening

The Regulatory Branch of the Seattle District, Army Corps of Engineers will be soon be announcing a GS 11/12 archaeologist position.  The Corps' Regulatory program is one of the oldest in the Federal Government.  The Seattle District Regulatory Program evaluates applications for permits for proposed activities in "Waters of the United States" (including wetlands)
throughout the State of Washington under the authorities of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, and the Marine Protection, Research and Sanctuaries Act. The focus of the position is to ensure that permits authorized by Corps are in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
