[OR_Archaeology] Historical Quads of Oregon

A gift from the beautiful ole' South!!

One of our clever Oregon archaeologists has found historical quadrangles of Oregon from the University of Alabama (roll Tide!). The web site has all the quads of Oregon, dating from 1890 to the 1970s (can you tell I'm swooning with excitement?) and the resolution is beautiful.

Just as an FYI, a download of "Mr.SID Plug-in from LizardTech" map tool is needed to view the maps and the suffix of the map docs when they come up ends in ".sid"  But I have downloaded the map tool and things did not blow up and we're now playing with different programs to see if the maps can be converted to pdf's or jpg's. Please let me know if you figure out how to convert the maps to an accessible doc.
