STUDENT DISSERTATION AWARD OFFERED

The Institute for Pacific Northwest Studies at the University of Idaho is pleased to announce its fifth annual dissertation award. 

This cash award of $750 is presented annually to the best dissertation on a topic
in Pacific Northwest history. For purposes of this award, the Pacific Northwest is considered the area west of the continental divide and north of the 42nd parallel, including western Canada and Alaska.

Eligible candidates must have completed the doctoral degree in history, or a related field, between January 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.  Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, vita, a letter of support from the major professor, and four copies of the complete dissertation 

(for your convenience, you may send these copies on four CDs) by August 1, 2010 to:
