Tour

Join Kenneth Ames, noted archaeologist and chair of the Portland State
University Anthropology Department, on this fascinating tour. The first
stop will uncover new archaeological findings at Ft. Vancouver. The
second exploration takes place at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge
and the Cathapotle Plankhouse, a modern plankhouse built based on
archaeological evidence of a Chinookan village encountered by Lewis and
Clark. Enjoy your own picnic lunch while Dr. Ames and Sam Robinson, Vice
President of the Council for the Chinook Indian Nation, talk about the
significance of the plankhouse to the Chinookan People.

York Times columnist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winning author. He and
his wife Sheryl WuDunn wrote their latest book called Half the Sky:
Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. He will be
speaking on Friday night, Oct 22.  You can purchase general admission

On Saturday, Oct 23rd there are seminars from PSU professors and leaders
