Dear Susan,  it is we who should be thanking you for your  7 years of hard & selfless dedication to 
bettering Oregon State's cultural resource program.  Your wisdom & knowledge will be sorely missed 
as will your unmatchable ability to guide the rest of us through the ins & outs of state & Federal law, 
a ray of light if you will in the dark 'jungle' of CRM red tape & rhetoric.  So thank you Susan for a job Well 
Done, no one could have done it better...!

To the wonderful members of the Oregon Archaeology Listserv;

It is with both excitement and a tinge of regret that I am to inform y'all that I will be resigning my position as Asst. State Archaeologist with the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office and with it, my responsibility as administrator of the Oregon Archaeology Listserv.

I have absolutely loved working at SHPO as Asst. State Archaeologist, especially with such an exceptional group of people. I also have enjoyed, more than words can express, being the Listserv’s administrator.  I have learned much in sharing news with y’all and reading your news as well.  

The knowledge I’ve learned has spurred my passion for historic preservation so much that it has inspired me to explore & hopefully achieve new heights in both my education and career.  I look forward to growing and learning in the profession of archaeology, whether it is in Oregon or elsewhere. 

I want to thank all of you for your patience, your kindness, for sharing your news, for taking the time to participate in discussions & announcing your events, but most of all, thank you for your positive feedback and support of the Listserv. 

I hope to keep in touch and I wish everyone the very best for this Holiday season. May you and your loved ones have good health and limitless happiness in the upcoming New Year and beyond, Susan Lynn White
