The Planning, Programs, & Project Management Division is recruiting for an Archeologist, GS-0193-12.

Announcement will open 29 Aug and close 12 Sep 2011.

This position serves as an Archeologist in the Environmental Resources Branch and their primary function is District-level management of the Federal Columbia River Power System Cultural Resources Program. In this capacity, the incumbent administers contracts and works with tribal staff to implement the program. Also serves as co-lead of the WanaPa Koot Koot working group to support implementation of the program. Works extensively with tribal staff, District administrative staff, and Project Managers to oversee and administer contracts. Consults with law enforcement as needed concerning violations of archeological resource protection laws, completes Section 106 analysis for Corps Civil Works projects as necessary, and works with Northwest Division staff and partner agencies to ensure program implementation.
