Geoarchaeologist
 
Historical Research Associates, Inc. (HRA), is looking for a Geoarchaeologist.  The qualified candidate must have an advanced degree in Anthropology, Soil Science, or a related field, at least 3 years experience designing and implementing geoarchaeological investigations. Specific job duties include examining soils and landform data to assess the potential for buried archaeological deposits; working with Principal Investigators to incorporate geoarchaeology into research designs; conducting field investigations involving, but not limited to, recording and analyzing site stratigraphy; drafting landform and stratigraphic descriptions, and co-authoring technical reports that present the results of geoarchaeological investigations. The successful candidate could be placed in our Seattle, Portland, Missoula or Spokane offices, and must be willing to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.
