The 2016 Northwest Anthropology Conference is scheduled for March 23-26, 2016. Hosted by
Washington State Parks, the conference will be at the Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma,
Washington.

Tacoma's downtown core has undergone significant urban renewal since the last time it hosted NWAC in 1988.  Within walking distance of the conference hotel, attendees will find the Washington State History Museum (home to the East Wenatchee Collection), the Tacoma Art Museum (hosting in 2016 "Painted Journeys: The Art of John Mix Stanley" and the Tacoma Museum of Glass (arguably the glass house that Dale Chihuly built!). Just a short distance away is the new LeMay
Car Museum which houses a collection of over 250 cars spanning a century of automotive history. Of course, attendees will find plenty of conference amenities too: fine dining, night life and microbreweries. The conference website will open by mid-December 2015. Information about conference registration, lodging, paper submissions and deadlines will be posted there when available.
