The Virginia Department of Historic Resources is seeking a qualified preservation professional for a full-time, two-year term appointment to supplement an established six-member project review team in its Richmond office. This position will serve as the main point of contact for and coordinate the review of specific complex federal projects subject to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act; critically analyze and synthesize input from stakeholders; provide written opinions on the consistency of projects with relevant guiding documents and federal regulations, standards, and guidelines; respond to public inquiries regarding the Department's review; perform field inspections and coordinate meetings; and advise division Director of relevant complex and sensitive projects and issues.
