Hello Oregon Archaeologists,
The Association of Oregon Archaeologists is pleased to announce our newest workshop opportunity, the Obsidian Studies Workshop.
Would you like to more about obsidian sourcing? Are you skeptical of obsidian hydration as a method for dating sites? Are you open to hearing new techniques in sourcing and hydration models that might provide ideas on how to better use your obsidian to collect important data?
If you answered yes... or even Mehh... to any of these questions, this is the training for you!
It will be Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Portland State University, the day after the AOA fall business meeting. Before you ask "Where at PSU? What about lunch?" We're working on all those little details and will get them out to folks once we have all that locked in.
Please see the attached flyer for more specific workshop and registration information. We very much look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks,
Matt
