UPDATE ON SHPO OPPERATIONS

We appreciate everyone's kindness and patience as we continue to adjust to layoffs, budget cuts, and retirements in the SHPO and across Oregon State Parks, and our transition to telework. In the aftermath of this summer's still ongoing deadly fires, we expect a surge in consultation requests from agencies looking to bring relief to Oregonians and rebuild critical infrastructure. To handle the expected work we will prioritize those projects related to the federal disaster declarations. As a result, we will not be able to respond to all requests for consultation. Our ability to provide expedited reviews or respond to requests for consultation on agreement documents will be very limited as well. Our partners can help us by coordinating submissions of large documents, identifying what projects are a priority for their agency, and in what circumstances the agency may be able to wait more than 30 days for a response. Please also be sure to use our Go Digital submission process. With the office teleworking it is the only reliable tool we have to track projects among staff. We will keep our partners up to date on our operations, and we appreciate your patience and willingness to work with us.

Ian
