The Oregon State Historic Preservation Office is hiring for the Assistant State Archaeologist position. Based on the announcement, the Assistant State Archaeologist is a subject-matter expert providing independent, professional evaluations and recommendations with minimal supervision based on knowledge and interpretation of broadly-worded federal and state laws, anthropological and archaeological training, and individual experience to evaluate, support, and carry out complex projects with potential significant impact on important cultural resources.
