Job Opportunity at Oregon Parks  and Recreation Department!


As a Central Park Resource Specialist, you will lead the agency's Cultural Resource Program by providing leadership, technical expertise and coordination with Region Archaeologists, agency staff, other state, local and tribal agencies, and provide a consistent and statewide approach to cultural resource management on state park properties.

In this role, you will provide quality control and improve efficiencies for Oregon Parks and Recreation Department's (OPRD) cultural resource management program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and the documentation for environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, permit applications, and various legal findings. You will provide strategic leadership to teams of coworkers to develop strategic goals, programmatic workplans, tools, policies, and program enhancements.

Additionally, you will support OPRD with Government-to-Government relations with Oregon's nine Federally recognized Tribes, and assist with statewide training to managers and technical staff on cultural resource protection, management and policies.
