SALEM - The Oregon Global Warming Commission will hold a public meeting Oct. 11 in Portland.
The meeting will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the headquarters of Northwest Natural Gas (220 NW 2nd Ave.). In-person attendance is encouraged because there will be numerous presentations, but to listen to the meeting over the phone, call 1-888-622-5357 and enter participation code 418922.
Among the agenda items is a presentation and discussion about the results of a recent opinion survey on addressing climate change. The Roadmap proposes a series of actions designed to help the state achieve its 2020 greenhouse gas reduction goal, which is estimated at 30 percent below today's levels.
