When: Friday, March 15th, 2013 Where: Portland State University, Smith Memorial Union This conference will host leading scientists, researchers, and health professionals to continue our robust dialogue on the interrelationship between the environment and health and healthcare practices. The 2013 conference theme is epigenetics: how environmental factors, particularly chemicals in our environment, can change the expression of our genes, impacting health and disease over generations. Epigenetics is a crucial topic, especially in pediatric healthcare. Presentations will also cover a range of topics including environmental justice, environmental toxicants, built environment, and sustainable practices in health care. Our keynote speaker will be Tracey Woodruff, PhD, MPH, Director of the Program on Reproductive Health & the Environment at the University of California San Francisco and an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences & Pediatrics.
