MFA: Communicable Disease Investigation and Emergency Response Essential Duties: ?Provide data gathering and analysis expertise for disease investigations, including foodborne illness outbreaks in support of CD nurses, EH specialists, County Health Officer, County public information officer, and department administration. ?Serve as department liaison with state communicable disease epidemiologists for data system support, data management and exchange, and outbreak analysis. ?Assist department administration, management, and programs to provide epidemiological data and interpretation for media projects and/or during outbreaks and public health emergencies. ?At the request of department administration, work with other agencies and organizations to support communicable disease investigation and emergency reponse. ?Support public health emergency preparedness planning activities including statistical and evaluation support for preparedness activities. STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Four year degree in Public Health, Sociology, Community Health or Epidemiology and at least 4 years of relevant work experience and must have experience using statistical software for qualitative analysis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong technical skills in data interpretation and analysis, as well as the ability to communicate the meaning of data to non-technical audiences.
