CDC's Tracking Network Enviro Health App Challenge Launches!<http://www.envirohealthchallenge.com/>
Create Apps that Explore Connections between the Environment and Health.
[cid:image001.jpg at 01D2C41B.04A02190]<http://www.envirohealthchallenge.com/#intro>CDC wants to increase public awareness that tracking data may help people understand the connections between environmental hazards and chronic illness. The goal of this Challenge is to receive innovative uses for the Tracking Network data from CDC's application programming interface to explore the connections between the environment and health.
Featuring top judges from around the industry, and $30,000 total prizes
Successful challenge submissions are eligible for the following prize awards:
*             1st place - $20,000
*             2nd place - $7,000
*             3rd place - $3,000
The submission window is now open, but closes June 23rd, so be sure to register for the challenge as early as possible to get started.

Today is the day to start thinking about air quality.

Sign up for free e-mail tools and apps<http://www.enviroflash.info/>. AQI is easy to use. If the AQI predicts a "Code Orange" (unhealthy for sensitive groups) day don't cancel your plans-use the AQI to help you plan a better time or place for them.
