Below is the announcement that went out on various lists today. I wanted to remind 07 and 08 grantees that projects that will be seeking a 2nd or 3rd year of funding will need to submit the form in Appendix D by April 11, 2008. We realize that you will have hardly begun activities in 2008 before starting to apply for a continuation, but don't worry - information on the progress of a continuing project is included in the grant application due in August. Please call me with any questions!

Yours,

Ann

The State Library is pleased to inform you that the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) "General Information and Grant Guidelines" packet for federal fiscal year 2009 is now available. Instead of sending a paper copy, we are sending this email to let you know where to access the packet. The forms are in downloadable Microsoft Word form, as well as pdf, for your convenience. If you need a paper copy of the packet sent to you, please contact Mary Mayberry at (503) 378-2525 or mary.l.mayberry at state.or.us. Information about LSTA competitive grants in general can be found via: http://oregon.gov/OSL/LD/LSTAcomp.shtml.

Grant proposals are due at the State Library by 5:00 pm on April 11, 2008.

For multi-year grant projects seeking a second or third year of funding, please use the form found in Appendix D.

Grant applications need to be in accordance with the "Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Five-Year State Plan, 2008-2012" which is summarized in the packet as Appendix A. The full Plan and many other resources for LSTA grant applicants can be found on the Grants / Aid to Libraries page of the Oregon State Library website (http://oregon.gov/OSL/LD). Resources include information about past grants and Library Services and Technology Act Advisory Council minutes.

If you have questions about the Grant Guidelines, LSTA grant program, or have difficulty downloading a form, please feel free to contact Ann Reed, Federal Programs Coordinator. Ann can be reached at (503) 378-5027, or ann.reed at state.or.us.
