FISCAL ANALYST 2

(Financial Coordinator)

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

UNDERFILL OPTION: This position is classified at the Fiscal Analyst 2
level, however, we encourage candidates who meet the minimum
qualifications of the Fiscal Analyst 1 position to apply (salary $2771 -
$4032/monthly). We may underfill the position until the selected
candidate fulfills the minimum qualifications for the Fiscal Analyst 2
level. Underfill training will not exceed 2 years.

 

The person in this position provides financial support and analysis to
Division and Branch offices in the areas of accounting and internal
controls, financial reporting, operational expense analysis, budgeting,
accounting system review, and submission of journal entries to the
accounting system. Meets regularly with accounting, budgeting, and
program management employees to identify program policy and information
needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

FISCAL ANALYST 2

*        Five years of progressively responsible experience that
included the preparation, analysis, and administration of a budget or
fiscal system; OR 

*        Five years of professional-level experience in accounting,
fiscal auditing, management or program analysis. Experience must have
included modeling, forecasting and analyzing fiscal information; OR 

*        Successful completion of the Department of Administrative
Services Budget and Management Public Administrative Trainee Program. 

Note:

*        A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit
Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public
Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other
analytical or technical degree) may substitute for three years of the
required experience. 

*        A graduate-level degree in any of the above areas may
substitute for four of the five years. 

UNDERFILL OPTION: FISCAL ANALYST 1

*        A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit
Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public
Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other
analytical or technical degree); OR 

*        Three years experience in management, policy or program
analysis, or technical-level budgetary support activities.
