[OSFA] OSFA - Seeking Prospective Board Members for 2010-2012 Term

Good Morning,
The Oregon State Fiscal Association is in the final preparation stages
for our annual conference scheduled for April 29th at the Salem
Conference Center. One of the items that will be occurring at the
conference this year is the election of new members to serve on the
Board of Directors. We have three of the seven Board members up for
election this year.
The current Board membership is:

The Board is seeking OSFA members who are interested in participating as
a member of the Board of Directors. The term is for two years (April
2010 through April 2012) and generally involves meeting for one hour per
month. There may be a few additional meetings added during the
preparation period for the annual conference. The newly elected Board
meets on one Saturday in May from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for outlining the
goals and objectives for the coming year. Participation as a Board
member offers excellent opportunities to network, learn new skills,
improve yourself professionally, and further your education. Finally,
the added benefit for participating as a member of the Board is free
participation in the annual conference.
If you are interested in participating as a Board member for OSFA, we
ask that you respond to Debra Burger regarding this email so we can add
you to our prospective board member email distribution group. As part
of an orientation to the workings of the Board, we would invite you to
attend our future Board meetings scheduled for the following dates. The
Board meetings are held at the Department of Transportation Building,
Room 406 (4th floor conference room). If for any reason the meeting is
cancelled a notice will be sent out to the prospective board member
email distribution group.
March 4th 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
March 18th 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
April 1st 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
April 8th 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
April 15 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
April 22 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
April 29th Annual Conference - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Attending the Board meetings is a beneficial way to assist you in making
the determination to participate in the outstanding opportunity as a
