Please join the Salem Chapter of the IIA on September 19th and 20th for 16 hours of CPE titled COSO: Implementing the Framework. The training will be held in Conference Room F of the Labor and Industries building at 350 Winter Street NE, Salem, OR.

The COSO Internal Control – Integrated Framework is the original framework that has gained broad acceptance and is widely used around the world. In the 20 years since its inception, business and operating environments have changed drastically (i.e. more technologically driven, more global, more complex), which has driven the need for an updated Framework. This course examines how a principles-based approach can be used to design, implement, and evaluate a system of internal controls. Please see the attached course description for more information on the course.

We are also pleased to announce that Mike Jacka will be conducting the training. Mike is an entertaining speaker who has had an extensive career in internal auditing. Mike has also co-authored three books and he has been responsible for the Lighter Side articles that appeared in the Internal Auditor Magazine.
