Marine Board Meets to Hear Boat Registration Report

The Oregon State Marine Board will meet Monday evening, 5:30 p.m. in Salem to hear an information report on boat registration trends in Oregon.

The report, prepared by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation in cooperation with the Oregon State Marine Board and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, studied public attitudes and factors related to the decline in boat registrations within Oregon.  There are currently approximately 185,000 registered boats in the state, down from nearly 200,000 boats in 1998.
