Marine Board to Hold Public Meeting on New Boat Fee Rules

	The Oregon State Marine Board will hold a public meeting on proposed rules implementing House Bill 2220, the Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention program.  The meeting will be held at the Marine Board office, 435 Commercial Street NE, on Tuesday, September 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Salem.
	After public input is received, Marine Board staff will summarize comments and present the Board with proposed rule language at the next Board meeting, scheduled for October 13 at the Riverhouse in Bend.
	Additionally, the Marine Board seeks written comments on the proposed Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention program rules beginning September 1 through September 30.  Written comments may be submitted by mail to June LeTarte, OSMB, PO Box 14145, Salem, OR 97309; by email to osmb.rulemaking at state.or.us; or by fax to (503) 378-4597.  Written comments may also be handed in at the public meeting.  All comments must be received or postmarked by September 30.  Telephone comments will not be accepted.
