Marine Board to Meet January 13 at the Portland Expo Center

                The Oregon State Marine Board will meet on January 13 at the Portland Expo Center for their quarterly meeting in conjunction with the Portland Boat Show.  Board members and staff will participate in a work session from 8 am to 12 pm and the general Board meeting will be held from 1 pm to 5 pm.  The public is invited to attend both sessions.
                The Board will be considering the following rules and hearing the following agenda items:

 *   City of Rainier's Maintenance Assistance Program Grant Audit;
 *   Consideration to adopt a rule on Chemical Analyses and Training for operators of breath testing equipment that would eliminate references to a specific breath testing instrument;
 *   Consideration to adopt a rule on Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit Program that would allow for more permit purchasing options for non-motorized boats;
 *   Rulemaking consideration on boat operations on Foster Reservoir in Linn County for a slow no-wake zone 100 feet adjacent to the Edgewater Marina;
 *   Rulemaking consideration on boat operations in Jackson County to remove references to the Gold Ray and Savage Rapids Dams;
 *   Staff  reports;
The meeting is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons wishing to address the Board on non-agenda items may do so during the designated period at the start of the 1 pm general meeting.
