Marine Board Meeting Being Held in Maupin

              The Oregon State Marine Board is holding their quarterly meeting in Maupin on October 23, at the Imperial River Company, 340 Bakeoven Rd. beginning at 9 a.m.
Agency staff and representatives from BLM and ODFW will also take part in an informational tour of boating access sites along the Lower Deschutes River on Monday October 22.  Board member attendance is optional and no regulatory action will be taken.  The tour will depart from the Maupin City Park at 1 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
            The Marine Board's agenda for the October 23 general meeting includes:

*       Staff reports for Boating Facilities, Boating Safety,  Registration and Titling, Policy and Operations Sections

*       Consider a request for a slow-no-wake zone near the mouth of Hood River

*       A presentation on the Southern Oregon Regional Enforcement concept
The meeting is accessible for persons with disabilities.  Persons needing some form of assistance to participate in this meeting due to a disability should contact June LeTarte at 503-378-2617 by Thursday, October 18.  Persons wishing to address the Board may do so during the designated period at the start of the meeting.
