Why don't we have a towed water sports advisory board? We all ready pay to use the public waterways and have no voice on the OSMB!  Ken Rice.

Marine Board to Hold Second Non-Motorized External Advisory Committee Meeting in Salem
 
              
As part of the Marine Board’s 2011-2016 strategic plan, an external advisory committee will convene for their second meeting on December 12 at the Marine Board office, 435 Commercial Street NE, in Salem, from 9 am to 3 pm.
            The advisory committee is comprised of a wide variety of stakeholders, from organized clubs to private citizens from around the state.  The non-motorized
external advisory committee will be making recommendations to the Marine Board on how to best engage and incorporate non-motorized boaters into the future mission of the agency and meet the ever-evolving needs of all boating user groups. 

Marine Board staff will be facilitating the meeting with the following agenda:

·      
Presentation of data collected through various agency surveys

·      
Establish meeting guidelines

·      
Group discussion exercise

·      
Explanation of petitions and the public input process

·      
Discussion on the strategic plan’s identified goals


The public is invited to attend this meeting, however; comments will not be permitted.  The meeting is accessible for persons with disabilities.  Persons needing some form of assistance to participate in this
 meeting due to a disability should contact Ashley Massey at 503-378-2623 by Tuesday, December 11.
