Marine Board’s External Advisory Committee Meeting September 16 to Recommend Agency Logo

              The Oregon State Marine Board invites boaters to attend the agency’s mission and vision advisory committee meeting where new logo design concepts will be presented.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 16, at the Marine Board office, 435 Commercial Street NE, Suite 400, in Salem, from 10 am to noon.
            The Mission/Vision External Advisory Committee was formed to [cid:image002.png at 01CFD0FD.7C829670] address feedback the agency received from boaters during the agency’s strategic planning process that began in 2010.  The committee was charged with developing recommendations on new mission and vision statements that resonate with all boaters and to create an all-inclusive logo better emulating who the Oregon State Marine Board serves.  The Marine Board approved the committee’s recommendations for new mission and vision statements earlier in the year and the agency is now incorporating the language into all digital media materials and embracing the messages into changes to agency operations.
The meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Persons needing some form of assistance to participate should contact Ashley Massey at 503-378-2623 by Monday, September 15 by 5 pm.  Public Comment will be allowed during the designated period at the end of the meeting.
