[cid:image002.jpg at 01CFE499.92FDCEB0]Willamette River Pipeline Project to Impact Boating in Clackamas County

              The Marine Board and City of Lake Oswego urge boaters to use extreme caution while boating on the Willamette River between Meldrum Bar and Clackamette Park beginning October 14 through November 14.
            Contractors will be assembling and floating a 3,900 foot pipeline from Meldrum Bar to Clackamette Park as part of a water supply project. The pipe will be floating at or just below the surface and will run diagonally across the river and will be marked by 100 foot, interval-lighted [cid:image004.jpg at 01CFE499.92FDCEB0] buoys.  Boaters cannot cross between buoys and must stay on either side of the pipeline.
            Signs will be posted at nearby boat ramps and the Clackamas County Marine Patrol will be working with the contractors to ensure river safety.
