Anthony Lake
* NEW: The boat ramp and campground are open. Fishing is good.
Applegate Reservoir
* NEW: Hart-Tish, Copper and French Gulch have more than 30 feet of water at the bottom of the ramp.
Blue River Reservoir
* NEW: Lookout and Saddle Mountain boat ramps are open and more than 15 feet of water is at the bottom of the boat ramps.
Brownlee Reservoir
* UPDATE: Hewitt Park. The fishing dock is out of the water and the marina moorage docks are close to grounding out. The low-water boat ramp has approximately 25 feet of water at the bottom of the ramp.
* NEW: Spring Recreation boat ramp has approximately 13 feet of water at the bottom of the ramp.
* NEW: Farewell Bend State Park boat ramp and Moonshine Mine boat ramp have more than 30 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
Bully Creek Reservoir
* NEW: There is approximately 9 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Cape Meares Lake
* Extensive aquatic plant growth throughout the lake may cause navigation issues for some boaters.
Carmen Diversion Reservoir
* NEW: The reservoir and U.S. Forest Service Road 750 will be closed through April 11, 2023 to allow Eugene Water and Electric Board to address sinkhole concerns.
Columbia River
* UPDATE: The City of Warrenton is ready for the Buoy 10 fishery. Parking at the Warrenton Marina has been reconfigured around the boat launch. Parking stalls have been widened to reduce broken taillights and improve efficiency when parking.
* NEW: Port of Hood River unleaded fuel is temporarily unavailable at the marine fuel dock.
* NEW: Columbia Gorge Challenge is taking place at Hood River Waterfront Park July 22-24. There will be a lot of kiteboarding, windsurfing, and foiling taking place between Waterfront Park river mile 169 and Viento State Park river mile 161. * Port of Cascade Locks pumpout and dump station are out of service. The next available equipment downstream is at M. James Gleason and upstream is at Port of Hood River.
Cooper Creek
* Cooper Creek East and West boat ramps are open and docks are floating. The reservoir is full.
Coquille River
* Arago boarding docks are installed.
* Sturdivant Park boat ramp has approximately three feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp at ordinary low water. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Cottage Grove Reservoir
* UPDATE: Lakeside boat ramp will be closed Friday, July 23 at 8:00 pm until Saturday, July 24 at 3:00 pm for the Tri at the Grove event. The triathlon racecourse maps are available Courses - Tri at the Grove<http://www.triatthegrove.com/courses.html>. The Lakeside boat ramp has approximately 40 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
* NEW: Wilson Creek boat ramp has approximately eight feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Cougar Reservoir
* UPDATE: The water level is approximately at the bottom of Slide Creek and Echo Park boat ramps. Small boats and paddlercraft can launch. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Crescent Lake
* Crescent Lake campground and day use main boat launch is unusable due to low water. The low water boat launch to the west of the main launch is open. Crescent Lake Resort is open for launching small boats, be cautious as some vehicles have gotten stuck in the sediment.
* Spring campground and day use are open. U.S. Forest Service recommends only launching small boats because of low water levels. The dock will not be installed this year.
Crump Lake
* NEW: Oregon Department of State Lands is issuing an emergency rule to close Crump Lake because of low water conditions.
Davis Lake
* The boat launch at Lava Flow campground is under a wildlife closure until September 1. Launching of small boats is possible at the North Lava Flow campground adjacent to the lava field and at the West Davis recreation site.
Detroit Lake
* State Park D boat ramp has approximately two feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting. Hoover, Southshore, Cove Creek State Park G and Mongold have more than 15 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
Devils Lake
* NEW: The Devils Lake Neighborhood Association has scheduled ECO harvester to harvest weeds on the lake July 25 through July 31. The contractor will attempt to clear common areas.
Dexter Reservoir
* UPDATE: Lowell and Dexter State Parks have approximately seven feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Diamond Lake
* Brushing operations are in effect on U.S. Forest Service Rd. 4795 the Diamond Lake Shore Road July 18-22. Please use extra caution when traveling along the road and be on the lookout for large machinery and equipment as well as individuals working on the ground. The road is used to access Thielson View, South Shore, Diamond Lake Campground, North End and Diamond Lake Resort boating access sites.
Dog Lake
* NEW: Dog Lake boat ramp and docks are open and usable.
Dorena Reservoir
* NEW: Harms Park boat ramp has approximately 10 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Baker Bay boat ramp has more than 30 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
Elk Lake
* The Elk Lake boating access site and campground are open.
Emigrant Lake
* Emigrant Lake North boat ramp and boarding docks are open. The other boat ramps are dry. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Fall Creek Reservoir
* UPDATE: Cascara boat ramp has approximately four feet of water at the bottom of the ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting. Winberry and North Shore have more than 20 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. The Winberry swim dock is floating.
Faraday Lake
* The lake, park and surrounding areas are closed for construction. Parking near the bridge and access to all areas across the bridge (Southeast of the Clackamas River) is closed. Fern Ridge Reservoir
* NEW: Perkins Peninsula boat ramp has approximately five feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
* NEW: Richardson Park and Orchard Point have approximately eight feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Foster Reservoir
* Keep a lookout for debris while enjoying the water. Gedney Creek, Sunnyside and Calkins boat ramps are open and docks are floating. There is approximately 3 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp at Calkins Park. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
Fourmile Lake
* Fourmile Lake Campground and boat ramp will be closed through December 2022 for the removal of damaged and dead trees affected by the Mountain Pine Beetle.
Grand Ronde Lake
* NEW: The boat ramp and campground are open. Located approximately two miles from Anthony Lake, this is a great location for kayaking, standup paddle boarding and angling.
Green Peter Reservoir
* UPDATE: Whitcomb Creek and Thistle Creek boat ramps have more than 20 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. * NEW: On July 23, Kokanee Power is hosting a Junior Fishing Derby on the reservoir. Lunch and awards will be in the Sunnyside Group site on Foster Reservoir.
* The reservoir has two floating restrooms. One in the Quartzville arm and one near Rumbaugh Creek. To keep the toilets functioning and unplugged, please flush after every use.
Haystack Reservoir
* UPDATE: The Reservoir is 59% full and both boat ramps are open and docks are floating.
Hills Creek Reservoir
* The Bingham boat ramp has approximately seven feet of water at the bottom of ramp. CT Beach and Packard are both open and have more than 20 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
Howard Prairie Lake
* UPDATE: The water level is dropping and is approximately 10% full. The boat ramps at Grizzly Creek, Willow Point, Klum Landing and Howard Prairie Resort are dry but paddlers can carry their boats to the water. Small boats can use the unimproved access near the dam.
Jubilee Lake
* Located approximately 20 miles from Elgin, this high-elevation lake is nice for kayaking and small electric motor-only boats. The boat ramp and campground are open.
Kingsley Reservoir
* Kingsley Reservoir Campground and boat ramp opening is delayed until July. Kingsley Campground and Green Point Reservoir - CLOSED - Public Notices - Hood River County, OR<https://www.hoodrivercounty.gov/index.asp?SEC=12926C63-AB36-40DA-8333-29F98DF3D01D&DE=700E30D9-54BF-4B11-B941-5308512B817B>
Lake Billy Chinook
* The reservoir has three floating restrooms. One near Chinook Island, one near Kettle Falls and one in the Deschutes Arm. To keep the toilets functioning and unplugged, please flush after every use.
* The Cove Palisades Resort and Marina wave attenuator is installed. Additional anchors will be installed to secure the attenuator. Work is anticipated to be completed by September 2022. The boating facilities are open during construction.
* Sundance waterski club is getting a new anchoring system for their dock located on the Crooked River arm. The dock will be unusable until mid-summer.
Lake Harriet
* The lake is ONLY accessible by Highway 26 and Skyline because Highway 224 is closed at Ripplebrook.
Lake Owyhee Reservoir
* UPDATE: The water level is dropping. Gordon Gulch boat ramp has approximately 10 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp. Indian Creek has approximately 25 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
Lake Selmac
* Kellers Landing has a large drop-off on each side of the boat ramp with a large berm approximately 10 feet out from the ramp.
* Mallard Boat Ramp is very short and steep and will often have aquatic plants in the launch area. Paddlers can launch from the ramp, bulkhead or adjacent lawn.
Lookout Point Reservoir
* UPDATE: Meridian boat ramp, Hampton Landing and Black Canyon boat ramps are out of the water. There is more than 40 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp at Signal Point launch.
Loon Lake
* Loon Lake Recreation Site<https://www.blm.gov/press-release/loon-lake-opens-weekend-day-use> is open for day use from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There is no potable water available, and visitors will need to bring their own drinking water.
Lost Creek Reservoir
* UPDATE: The water level is dropping but there is approximately 30 feet of water at the bottom of the Joseph Stewart boat ramp. The floating restroom is installed and available. To keep the toilets functioning and unplugged, please flush after every use.
McKenzie River
* NEW: Navigation obstruction. Approximately one mile downstream of Armitage Park boat launch a gravel bar has formed, stretching across nearly the entire river width, with no navigable channel for power boats. Those in drift boats will likely have to exit their vessel and carry it over or around the gravel bar. Caution is advised. Necanicum River
* UPDATE: The river is getting low and approaching summer flows. Many drift boat runs will be too low to navigate safely. Kayaking is still a great way to explore this river.
Nehalem River
* UPDATE: The river is getting low and approaching summer flows. Many drift boat runs will be too low to navigate and the lowest reach may still be passable but drift boaters should expect the possibility of having to drag their boat over some shallow areas.
Nestucca River
* UPDATE: The river is getting low and approaching summer flows. Many drift boat runs will be too low to navigate and the lowest reach may still be passable but drift boaters should expect the possibility of having to drag their boat over some shallow areas.
North Santiam River
* Greens Bridge gate is closed. Boaters wishing to launch or retrieve boats must apply for a key through ODFW by calling 541-757-4186<tel:541-757-4186> and filling out a form. Once registered, anglers can pick up their key at Clyde's Lock and Safe in Salem. For information about boating hazards and obstructions visit the Obstructions Dashboard<https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/3318d2bf38a448e9bac2242c23ea6f30>.
North Umpqua River
* U.S. Forest Service removed 13 obstructions from Boulder Flat to Gravel Bin boat launches.
* Amacher Park boat ramp and parking is anticipated to be closed in late summer-early fall to replace the upper half of the boat ramp and reconfigure and pave the parking area. Access to the camping area will be open.
Ochoco Lake
* Due to extremely low water the boat ramp is unusable by trailered boats. People can carry down kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards to hand launch from the dirt. The floating restroom is not installed this year. Located about 50 minutes away is Haystack Reservoir as another boating option. Odell Lake
* UPDATE: All boat ramps are open. Trapper Creek docks are not installed.
Plat I Reservoir
* UPDATE: Located approximately three miles from Cooper Creek Reservoir and seven miles from Sutherlin, this 10-mph speed-restricted reservoir is a great location for kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. Call Sutherlin Water Control District with questions about visiting at 541-459-5450<tel:541-459-5450>.
Priday Reservoir
* NEW: The water is below the boat ramp but paddlers can carry down and access the water.
Prineville Reservoir
* UPDATE: Prineville Reservoir is currently at 24% and the water is dropping. Access to Social Security Beach is reduced for resource protection. All boat ramps on Prineville Reservoir are out of the water. Hand launching kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards can be done at Prineville Reservoir State Park. The floating restrooms will not be installed this year.
Rogue River
* Almeda boat ramp has roughly a three-foot drop-off at the end of the ramp. Use caution when water levels are low.
* Ennis Riffle boat ramp is very sandy and shallow which makes it a good location to launch or retrieve rafts and kayaks.
* Indian Mary Park there is a very small drop-off at the end of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
* Ferry Hole has a small drop-off at the end of the boat ramp with cavities on the downstream side. Use caution when launching or retrieving.
* Griffin Park boat ramp is short and stops on a gravel bar. Adjacent to the boat ramp is a large gravel/sandy area to launch and retrieve. The site is recommended for rafts, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.
* Lathrop Landing boat ramp has a buildup of sediment making the launch shallow which will require you to back further into the water to launch or retrieve.
* Schroeder Park has a large drop-off at the boat ramp. Use caution when launching or retrieving.
* Chinook Park boat ramp has an approximate eight-inch drop-off at the end of the ramp. When launching at certain river flows be prepared for the current to push you into a small rock barb and riffle.
* Pierce Riffle has a gravel bar just past the end of the boat ramp on the upstream side.
* The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is completing maintenance dredging<https://www.nwp.usace.army.mil/Media/News-Releases/Article/2967067/corps-awards-5-million-contract-for-rogue-river-dredging-at-gold-beach/> and will also dredge a large gravel bar at the entrance of the boat basin. Work is scheduled to be completed by late October 2022.
Siuslaw River
* UPDATE: The Port of Siuslaw installed the floating restroom.
Snake River
* The boat ramp at the Oasis on the Snake Campground will be closed on Monday, July 25th for the installation of a new vault toilet. Toilet facilities will be unavailable from July 18th through July 25th.
Spring Creek
* UPDATE: State Parks just finished installing a new kayak dock at Collier Memorial Park in the Spring Creek Day Use area.
Summit Lake
* NEW: Summit Lake campground and boat launch are open.
Three Creek Lake
* The roads are clear of snow and the boat ramp is open. Located approximately 16 miles south of Sisters via Forest Service Road 16. This is a nice place for kayaking and canoeing.
Tillamook Bay
* Memaloose County Park is severely shoaled in making launching and retrieving difficult. Monitor tides closely.
Tillamook Bay Rivers
* The North Coast Rivers (Nestucca, Trask, Wilson, Nehalem, and Necanicum) are getting low and approaching summer flows. Many drift boat runs will be too low to navigate. The lowest reaches of the rivers may still be passable, but drift boaters should expect the possibility of having to drag their boats over some shallow areas.
Timothy Lake
* North Arm Campground, Oak Fork Campground, Gone Creek Campground, Hoodview Campground and Pine Point Campground boating access are open and ONLY accessible by Highway 26 and Skyline because Highway 224 is closed at Ripplebrook. The Oak Fork Campground boat ramp docks are usable but have some damage on the dock.
Umpqua River
* Oregon Health Authority has issued a permanent recreational use advisory<https://www-auth.oregon.gov/oha/PH/HEALTHYENVIRONMENTS/RECREATION/HARMFULALGAEBLOOMS/Pages/Blue-GreenAlgaeAdvisories.aspx> from the mainstem Umpqua River downstream past Elkton to Lawson Bar. Pools in the bedrock along the edge of the river are known to develop cyanobacteria blooms.
Unity Reservoir
* NEW: There is approximately 22 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp at Unity Lake State Park.
Upper Klamath Lake
* Oregon Health Authority issued a recreational use health advisory<https://www-auth.oregon.gov/oha/PH/HEALTHYENVIRONMENTS/RECREATION/HARMFULALGAEBLOOMS/Pages/Blue-GreenAlgaeAdvisories.aspx> July 1, for areas around Eagle Ridge County Park due to the presence of cyanobacteria bloom and cyanotoxins above recreational use values for human exposure.
Vee Lake
* NEW: Extensive aquatic plant growth throughout the lake may cause navigation issues for some boaters.
Waldo Lake
* UPDATE: As of July 15 all campgrounds and boating access are open at Waldo Lake. A new well is being installed at Shadow Bay and potable water is temporarily unavailable. For updates call Gold Lake information line at 541-782-5235<tel:541-782-5235>.
Warner Valley Complex
* Campbell, Turpin and Alkali Lakes canoe launches are closed due to low water.
Willamette River
Lower (Columbia River to Willamette Falls)
* UPDATE: Sportcraft Landing access road is restricted to one lane. The contractor is working hard to minimize delays. Flaggers are present. The upper parking area and a portion of the lower parking area are closed. Construction runs through August 2022. Jon Storm Park dock, restrooms and pumpout and dump station are open, but the parking lot will be closed until the completion of the I-205 bridge widening project.
* Cathedral Park - ODOT will be doing repair work on the St. Johns bridge columns this year. Portland Parks and Recreation does not anticipate any impact to the boat ramp and docks. There may be minor if any impact on the boater parking area. The two N. Philadelphia Avenue frontage roads connecting North Syracuse and North Willamette Avenues will close. The southern frontage road will remain open to local access. Middle (Willamette Falls to Salem)
* Regulatory changes to the Towed Watersports Education Program<https://www-auth.oregon.gov/osmb/boater-info/Pages/Towed-Watersports-Education-Program.aspx> for Newberg Pool are in effect.
Upper (Salem to Eugene)
* The City of Salem and Willamette Riverkeepers are preparing for the third year of treatment of Ludwigia<https://www.cityofsalem.net/Home/Components/News/News/280/> (Uruguayan water primrose) in the Willamette Slough. Herbicide treatment is expected to occur from July 11 through July 22 (excluding the weekend) with follow-up treatment at the end of August 2022. Recreational users are advised to steer clear of the slough while treatment is in progress and 24 hours after the last scheduled treatment.
* Willamette River Festival July 16-23 has in-water and upland activities. Whitewater adventure paddle, river safety workshop, learn to fly fish, paddlecross challenge and many other activities. The Paddlecross Challenge<https://willametteriverfest.org/festival-schedule-registration/> begins at Alton Baker Park to the end of the Canoe Canal in Springfield and downstream on the Willamette River through several rapids back to Alton Baker Park. There are four portages on the course.
* Buena Vista County Park is closed through September 30, 2022, for construction of the boat ramp, boarding docks, lower parking area, vault toilet and access road. During this time there is no boating access at the Park. The contractor started demolition of the old ramp and lower parking area.
