OSPS is passing on the following information at the request of Nancie Young,

> Subject:	Military Donated Leave Program Training

> This is to notify state payroll and HR staff of training sessions
> scheduled for administration of the Military Donated Leave Program (MDLP)
> database.  These sessions will provide basic information on the program
> itself, but the focus of the training will be on the administration of the
> MDLP database.  
> 
> Agencies will use the MDLP database to record and track the entire process
> from receipt of donated leave through the distribution of the MDLP funds
> to program participants.  The database significantly reduces the amount of
> staff time required to administer the program, and also ensures the
> accuracy of program administration, and documentation of program
> activities. 
> 
> There are two training sessions scheduled.  Staff may attend either
> session. Registration is not required to attend these sessions.  Both
> sessions will be held in the Department of Veterans' Affairs auditorium.
> The first session will be held on December 15, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. until
> 11:00 a.m.  The second session will be held on December 17, 2004, from
> 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
