OSPS E-News ~ Timesheet Changes

After the implementation of the state employee ID number as part of the
mandate to eliminate non-permitted use of employee social security numbers,
we have been making incremental changes to the OSPA.  As you know, our P160
screen (Name Lookup) displays both the SSN and the ID number.  You can use
the ID number to pull up the P030 screen (Job Status Data).  In addition, we
have substituted the ID number on a number of reports and on the check stub
and direct deposit statements.  Based on feedback from agencies and state
employees, our next project is to replace the SSN with the ID number on
timesheets.  

The time entry screen will be modified to accept both the SSN and the ID
number.  We plan to print only the ID number on the timesheets for February.
So, whenever you enter time for February, you would enter it using the ID
number.  This change is related only to paper timesheets at this time.  

Those who enter time using the timesheet number will not notice a change.
Those who have always used the SSN may find the data entry to be a bit
slower for a time.  

Before we finalize our process and our migration plans, we would like to
