OSPS E-News ~ BCNN Deduction Code Change

Code "BCNN" used to deduct the cost of the "Commuter Club" vanpool has been
changed effective for January Run 1.  As a result of an increase in the
amount that the IRS allows as a pre-tax payment of commute expenses, the
plan codes have been altered.  Plan code "AAA" has been increased from $100
to $105 and plan code 001 has been reduced from $55 to $50.  The net effect
of this is that participants are able to pre-tax more of their vanpool fee.
This code is used by only a dozen or so agencies.
