OSPS E-News ~ Important Request From PEBB

PEBB staff will be working this weekend to 'go live' with their benefit
management system "pebb.benefits".  To assist them in loading data from
OSPA to pebb.benefits, they would appreciate having no new PEBB
insurance related P070 transactions entered in OSPA on Thursday and
Friday January 13 and 14. Please read the message below from Barbara
Merrifield at PEBB.

PEBB would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have
participated or plan to participate in pebb.benefits training. The
training sessions are going well and we appreciate your feedback.
Because pebb.benefits will interact directly with the P070 screen for
PEBB-sponsored benefits, it is important that you refrain from making
benefit changes beginning end of business today, Wednesday, January 12,
2005 through Tuesday morning, January 18, 2005. This blackout period
will allow the initial data load into pebb.benefits to occur and the
process will span over several days. 

If you have urgent issues that require benefit changes, please make the
change in the P070 screen and PEBB will work with you after January 18,
2005, to correct the data discrepancy between the payroll and
pebb.benefits systems. However, the fewer changes you make to
PEBB-sponsored benefits on the P070 screen, the fewer discrepancies you
will need to correct. Please feel free to contact PEBB should you have
questions or concerns. Thank you.
