Greetings!  

 

DAS State Controller's Division is pleased to announce the following
training opportunity.

 

Taxable Fringe Benefits

Presented by SueAnn Jansen and Marilee Basaraba of the Internal Revenue
Service

Wednesday November 2, 2005 - 9 AM to 4 PM

Employment Department Auditorium

875 Union Street NE

Salem, OR

 

Topics include a variety of fringe benefit taxation issues including
allowances and other compensation paid by employers, education
reimbursements, travel expenses of employees, and payments to
independent contractors.  

 

There is no cost for this training, but you must register.  To register,
e-mail judy.tennant at state.or.us using the subject line "IRS Training
Registration".  In the body of your e-mail, please provide the name,
agency name and phone number for each registrant.  Your registration
must be received no later than October 21, 2005.  

 

An updated version of the Taxable Fringe Benefits manual will be handed
out the morning of the training and this training will qualify for 6 CPE
Credits.
