OSPS E-News ~ Military Donated Leave Program - Reconciliation

We have been notified by DAS HRSD that they will be performing a
reconciliation of the Military Donated Leave Program fund balance. (See
their message below)
It is important that you do not process any military donated leave
transactions until further notice. Any transactions you entered for
October Run 1 are OK and they will be finalized in October Run 2. At
that time, HRSD staff will begin the reconciliation.
If you need to set a corrective for an employee, in a month that had a
military leave donation, please contact OSPS Help and provide the
employee name and pay period. This will enable us to communicate this
to HRSD so they can consider this in their reconciliation.
The process of reconciliation is the step they have to take in order to
be able to distribute funds to those state employees who were on
military leave. It is important that we comply with their request for
no transactional activity during this period. If you have any questions

We are preparing to reconcile our records for the Military Donated Leave
Program. As part of the reconciliation process, we will provide each
agency with a list of employees who have returned from active military
duty. Agencies that have employees who were deployed and have now
returned will need to obtain either: a) the completed participant forms
along with the accompanying verification of military wages (i.e. LES
statements) or b) a completed form indicating the employee's wish to
opt-out of the program. It is imperative that we receive the requested
documents for every single person who has returned from active military
duty in your agency. Once we receive elections for all of the employees
we will be able to proceed with our reconciliation process.
In the meantime, please suspend accepting or processing any donations.
