OSPS is passing on the following from Denise Hall, DAS HRSD.

HRSD is moving into the final phases of looking at several statewide
systems maintained by DAS (i.e., PPDB, the OSPA, PICS, and Appl/Crt).
We were asked to review these systems at a very high level and prepare a
business case for how the State will continue to meet its human resource
related data needs into the future.  We've met with agency
representatives from various agencies, systems administrators within
DAS, and technical staff supporting the current systems.  We have also
surveyed other states about their current systems and plans for, or
progress in, implementing systems for meeting their future data needs.
In addition, we recently received a number of vendor responses to an RFI
on products and services available to employers to meet their HR data
needs.

 

Now we would like to hear a little more from you, your technical HR
staff, your agency payroll representatives, and your agency budget
representatives.  The attached survey has distinct questions for
users/managers in each of the aforementioned administrative areas.  I
have asked Sharon McKeehan and Laurie Byerly to forward this e-mail and
survey to their payroll and budget contacts, respectively.  Please
forward this e-mail and survey link to any of the staff in your HR shop
you would like to participate.

 

I am hoping that each of you can schedule 15 minutes on your calendar
between now and next Friday (Sept. 15) for completing the questions
relating to data and reporting needs and any shadow systems your agency
might be dependent on.  This information will help us to better
understand your agency's needs.
