We are working with them to identify the missing reports and have them print and deliver as soon as possible. Currently, we have not received exception reports and the XREF44 for agency numbers 291 and after. Also, other reports from 291 and on have not been provided to us. All agencies should have their XREF43, BO75A and B075B. We are so sorry for this delay and we understand and share your frustration. While we know that you have a frequent need to make corrections and adjustments for terminated employees, we believe that this warning message will be useful to your review of the exception reports and provides a good control around such payments. The message will read: 8050 - terminated employee receiving pay. The new alert will be added to existing messages related to terminated employees and multiple messages may appear in tandem for a terminated employee depending upon the circumstances. Message Explanation 5500-ACH CANCELLED DUE TO TERMINATION The terminated employee has a net pay direct deposit on the P070. The direct deposit will be ignored. If payment is due, OSPA will produce a paper check. 8055-TERM-NP-TO-FED-TAX The terminated employee has a small amount of net pay (less than $1.00) that will be added to federal tax to eliminate the need for payment. For more information about the Payroll Exception report, follow this link to the OSPS Reference Manual. http://oregon.gov/DAS/SCD/OSPS/docs/pubs/reports/E120-042A.pdf Your feedback about changes to OSPA, payroll reports and online tools is always welcomed. This is just to let you know that OSPS has been working with PEBB related to the changes necessary in payroll transactions for any state employee who is able to declare his/her domestic partner as a dependent under IRS rules. As PEBB works with DOJ on this issue and all of the rules become final, OSPS will update our Reference Manual, training and forms to include these changes as well as a step-by-step procedure to clarify the differences in system transactions for a partner who is a dependent. ________________________________ From: hrmgr-net-bounces at listsmart.osl.state.or.us [mailto:hrmgr-net-bounces at listsmart.osl.state.or.us] On Behalf Of HRLIST Admin * DAS HRSD Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2008 8:14 AM To: hrmgr-net at listsmart.osl.state.or.us; hrexec at listsmart.osl.state.or.us; hrtech-net at listsmart.osl.state.or.us Subject: [hrmgr-net] PEBB Message to Members on Tax Dependents for HealthPlan Purposes Good morning!
