CHANGE EFFECTIVE THURSDAY 7-17-08

 

 

In an effort to maximize our services to you, OSPS will implement a
process change for the delivery of the daily manual checks.  Here's how
it will work:

 

Each day when we receive the manual checks from the print plant, we will
prepare the checks for delivery to the mail boxes as a priority task.
As soon as the checks have been delivered to the lockboxes, we will put
a message on the PMSG screen announcing their availability.  

 

This change in no way promises that we will always have checks ready for
pickup early.  The timing of the availability will fluctuate each day.
However, you can always be sure that the checks will be available no
later than 3:00 PM. This is our effort to provide the best service
possible. Anytime we feel that technical or logistical issues will keep
us from meeting the 3:00 PM deadline, we will provide e-mail and PMSG
screen notification of that fact.   As you know, this happens very
rarely. 

 

We will not be able to field complaints from couriers who arrive before
we have announced the availability of the checks.  Please work with your
couriers so that they understand this process.  If they must schedule
their work to make a pickup at the same time every day, that time should
be 3:00 PM.  If they are flexible, you can dispatch them as soon as you
know that the checks are available.
