 Presenter Information

Tim Beard - U.S. Social Security Administration 

 Tim is the Employer Services Liaison Officer in Social Security's
Seattle Regional Office and will be presenting the Social Security
portion of today's program. He is responsible for assisting employers
throughout the Northwest with the completion of annual W2 reports,
whether electronic or on paper, and resolving problems related to those
reports.  In addition, Tim is the regional contact for issues regarding
the Social Security and Medicare coverage of state and local government
employees, especially via the Section 218 agreements.  He conducts an
active education campaign to give employers, both public and private,
the information needed to report employee earnings timely and
accurately.

Mr. Beard has worked for the Social Security Administration since 1973,
the last eighteen years specializing in annual wage reporting and
employment taxes.  He has worked in SSA offices in Washington, Oregon,
and California.

KayDel Marshall - Internal Revenue Service: 

 KayDel Marshall is a Native of Portland, Oregon who graduated from
Marylhurst University with a Masters Degree in management.   Marshall
has worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 23 years starting out in
Criminal Investigation and then moving to Examination Division as a Tax
Auditor for 7 years.  From 1994 thru 2000, she worked for Customer
Service answering the highly technical tax questions on the 1-800 line
and the internet, teaching tax law to new recruits, and serving as a
supervisor periodically.  In 2001,  Marshall  went to work for Taxpayer
Education and Communication in the Small Business and Self-Employed
Operating Division.  She is now a Senior Stakeholder Liaison  charged
with doing tax education for  all industry  in the State of Oregon and
Idaho.   Marshall is also the Pacific Northwest Area Lead for Payroll
Practitioners, Minority and Women Owned Businesses, and the Tip Industry
Programs.
