Furlough Management Alert

Effective with leave accrual reports issued 12/13/10 for November pay
period, OSPS has implemented an alert message to call attention to any
employee who has a furlough obligation balance of 56 or more hours.
OSPS Leave Report B470 will identify these records with the message
"Review LA Obligation". This alert will continue through pay period
June 30, 2011.

This considers the number of months left to take all furlough obligation
and calls attention to any employee who may not be taking furlough days
as originally planned. A balance of 56 or more hours may mean that the
employee will have to take more than 8 hours in a month to remain on
track. This is a condition that should be reviewed by agency management
to ensure that no employee fails to satisfy their furlough obligation by
6/30/2011.
