OSPS has added a third on-line OSPA class in iLearnOregon - Reading the
OSPA Payroll Register. This class takes 30-60 minutes to complete. It
looks at the data elements on the registers, including data from the
P030 Job Status Data screen, the source of gross wages, voluntary
deductions from the P070 Deductions and Deduction Adjustments screen,
taxes, retirement and WBF assessments, and the form of payment.

This class was possible through our continuing partnership with Brandy
Meng, eLearning Specialist, iLearnOregon / iLincOregon, DAS HRSD.

If you are planning to attend the Problem Solving with the Payroll
Register seminar class on September 28, this on-line class is a required
pre-requisite. Prior to the class in September, I will confirm that
enrollees have completed the on-line class.

You may also want to tell managers, HR and Payroll staff in your agency
who receive the registers about the on-line class. It is a basic
introduction to the data and may help them decipher the information
available to them.

Just a reminder, the other two on-line classes in iLearnOregon are:

* Calculating Federal Income Tax Withholding in OSPA

* Calculating Retirement Contributions in OSPA.
