Happy Thursday!

OSPS has been made aware of an email circulating amongst agencies regarding ePaystub and HB2207 that mandates direct deposit for State of Oregon employees. There were two items mentioned in that email that OSPS wanted to point out:

1) November 1, 2013 will be the first paperless paystub. That means October 1st/15th will be the last time anyone that has net pay Direct Deposit will receive a paper paystub. Anyone who gets a paper paycheck will continue to receive it.

2) A Temporary Administrative Rule is being written to provide guidance on the implementation of HB2207. The temporary rule will be in place by November 1, 2013 and allow for agency input for the permanent rule. That means this rule will help define what an allowable exception will be to not enroll in direct deposit.

Again this is a heads up as many of you in payroll land are going to get some of these types of questions.

If you have any questions about this or anything else please contact our Help Desk at 503.378.6777 '0' or by email osps.help at state.or.us<mailto:osps.help at state.or.us>.
