[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

All,

OSPS has received a few inquiries regarding employees using TurboTax for filing their taxes.  The tax id number for the State of Oregon is 93-1070707 and that is reported on all W-2's.  Apparently when entering the tax id information into TurboTax their software auto fills the name with Oregon Health Authority.

This is a TurboTax problem and we contacted them last Friday (Customer Service 800.446.8848) to have them fix this error.  Unfortunately our efforts were not rewarded.

If an employee calls in with this particular problem then our suggestion would be to have them correct the information on their tax form to match their W-2 and to contact TurboTax regarding their error.
