Re:      Inclement Weather

Due to the recent inclement weather, we received many inquiries on how to code employees' time.  On DAS CHRO's website you will find the Temporary Interruption of Employment (TIE<http://www.oregon.gov/das/Policies/60-015-01.pdf>) policy.  The policy also has a separate attachment (updated 1/21/2015) which is a scenario-based leave guide matrix<http://www.oregon.gov/das/Policies/60-015-01_attachment.pdf>.

Please pay particular attention to the section related to teleworking on closure days (page 4 of the matrix).  When an office closure occurs and an employee is approved to telework, the employee should continue to work.  Any time not worked is coded as accrued paid leave or leave without pay, not miscellaneous paid leave (if MPL eligible).
